“ Good food. The outside back terrace was nice on a warm summer evening but facing the back side of the building (partly in disrepair) distracted from the otherwise pleasant greenery. Friendly service. ”
“ Gisteren een bijzondere avond gehad in Den Nieuwen Hommel. Mijn vrouw en ik hadden een datenight gepland nadat we net 2 maand ouders zijn geworden. Het begon allemaal heel leuk en gezellig, maar de avond werd wat bedorven omdat mijn vrouw plots immense buikpijn kreeg. Ze had nog niet eens haar hoofdgerecht kunnen aanraken. Helaas moesten we de avond dan ook vroeger afronden dan voorzien. Echter had de dame van het restaurant hier alle begrip voor en pakte ze alles in zodat we alles komden meenemen naar huis. We hebben dus enkel ter plaatse het duo van kaas- en garnaalkroketten kunnen eten als voorgerecht. Lekker, alleen wat de garnaalkoket net iets te kort gebakken. Nadien hebben we thuis nog van de hoofdgerechten geproefd en deze waren heel lekker (mosselen met room en varkenswangetjes). Het enige wat ons opviel is dat sommige zaken als kaarshouders op tafel, de bordjes van ons voorgerechtje en de wc's niet zo schoon waren. Los van dat konden we op eten en gastvrijheid niets aanmerken. De dame die je ontvangt is heel vriendelijk en de bediening loopt ook vlot. ”

“ Gezellig en uitnodigingend ingericht restaurantje. Correcte prijzen. Verzorgde, discrete en vriendelijke bediening. Finger food en tapas zijn er ook verkrijgbaar. De eigenaars zijn in verschillende Spaanse steden inspiratie gaan opdoen. Ideale plaats om een rustige en gezellige avond door te brengen. ”
